"I never teach my pupils. I only attempt to provide the conditions in which they can learn."
MIT's Vishwashanti Gurukul Teacher's Training Academy has always promoted excellence and dissemination of creative insights in teaching - learning process from diverse sources among their teacher trainees. When such insights are shared by a variety of teacher trainees who come from different regions and cultural contexts, it triggers in developing an entirely new practices or for adopting an existing good practice to one's own specific needs and context.
In the view of emerging knowledge and information society, it is imperative for us as teacher education institute to understand the dynamics of knowledge creation, development and management. Teacher's active responsiveness in responding to new ways of learning impacts the entire teaching - learning process in educational institutions, and eventually enriches and refines the quality of learning outcomes. Thus, there is need to introduce an element of adventure into the mission of education, wherein teachers must become partners in the exploration. The learning processes need to be made so thrilling, so pleasurable that students should experience the joy and excitement of learning. This is possible when teacher training programmes equip teachers with such skills, attitude and competencies.
VGTTA is in constant endeavor of earnestly exploring the new paradigms and challenges in the areas of teacher education where it tries to give an edge to our teacher trainees over the others....
In this competitive world MIT's VGTTA marches ahead with its dedicated and sincere faculty and very cooperative and supportive management, striving towards 'EXCELLENCE'because we believe that...... 'Success is a Journey and not a destination.'
